Centenas de instituições de saúde mineiras estão recebendo, via Projeto Cemig nos Hospitais, a substituição da iluminação antiga pelas atuais lâmpadas de LED e a troca de equipamentos hospitalares de alto consumo energético, como autoclaves, secadoras, calandras e focos cirúrgicos, por outros mais modernos e eficientes.
Além disso, outra iniciativa importante é a instalação de usinas solares fotovoltaicas nas unidades. Essas são algumas das ações realizadas pelo Programa de Eficiência Energética da Cemig (PEE), que está beneficiando mais de 350 instituições de saúde públicas e filantrópicas, em diferentes regiões de Minas Gerais, desde o ano passado.
A iniciativa do PEE, regulado pela Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica (Aneel), está em execução desde julho de 2022 e, até 2024, destinará cerca de R$ 70 milhões em melhorias nessas unidades de saúde. O objetivo, além de promover a modernização desses espaços, é proporcionar a mudança de itens de alto consumo de energia por outros mais econômicos, reduzindo o desperdício.
O gerente de Eficiência Energética da Cemig, Ronaldo Lucas Queiroz, explica a atuação do projeto e a importância da ação para as unidades de saúde. “A Cemig busca investir em substituições de equipamentos essenciais na rotina hospitalar e que são relevantes do ponto de vista do consumo energético, como os de esterilização de materiais e os de secagem das roupas, por exemplo. Esses equipamentos desempenham uma função primordial para a adoção de padrões de desinfecção de materiais hospitalares e roupas, procedimentos que poucas pessoas veem, mas que são protagonistas no funcionamento seguro de uma unidade hospitalar”, destacou.
Além disso, o gerente enfatizou os benefícios alcançados com o desenvolvimento do projeto, tanto para as entidades quanto para a população. “Essas mudanças podem parecer algo simples, mas fazem muita diferença para quem trabalha e para quem busca atendimento. Em muitos hospitais, os ambientes tiveram uma verdadeira transformação. Com esse trabalho de substituição de equipamentos e da iluminação por modelos mais sustentáveis e modernos, os ganhos em eficiência energética são somados à possibilidade de os hospitais reduzirem parte significativa de suas faturas de energia, além da gerarem parte da sua energia com fontes renováveis, revertendo os recursos financeiros economizados em melhorias ou executando demandas antigas”, reforçou.
Programa de Eficiência Energética
O PEE da Cemig é regulado pela Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica (Aneel). Ele promove o uso sustentável da energia elétrica e busca desenvolver uma cultura baseada em hábitos de consumo mais conscientes. Desde o início do programa, em 1998, as iniciativas beneficiam, principalmente, clientes de baixa renda e instituições públicas e filantrópicas que exercem amplo atendimento à sociedade, como os hospitais e escolas, por exemplo.
Além das milhares de lâmpadas que são substituídas e das centenas de secadoras, autoclaves, calandras e focos cirúrgicos trocados nas unidades de saúde públicas e filantrópicas em todo o estado, a Cemig vai instalar 30 usinas solares fotovoltaicas nas instituições hospitalares.
