O dia 17 de agosto marcou o início da jornada de revitalização do Mercado Municipal Miguel Sutil, situado entre as vias Generoso Ponce e Isáac Póvoas, impulsionada pela ação proativa de valorização do patrimônio cultural da Prefeitura de Cuiabá, na gestão de Emanuel Pinheiro.

O ousado projeto, com aporte de R$ 125 milhões por meio de uma Parceria Público-Privada, representa a união de esforços tanto do setor público quanto privado, com o intuito de preservar o passado da cidade e, ao mesmo tempo, introduzir modernidade e desenvolvimento. A transformação na área circundante do Mercado Municipal é uma resposta à urgente necessidade de mudança e investimento, com o objetivo de resgatar a grandiosidade e o orgulho que essa região merece proporcionar a Cuiabá. “A degradação e o abandono não terão mais lugar aqui”, destacou o prefeito Emanuel Pinheiro ao assinar a ordem de serviço para o início das obras, na quinta-feira (17).

Por meio de uma parceria público-privada estabelecida com a Prefeitura Municipal, o Consórcio C.S Mob assumiu o compromisso de tornar essa visão uma realidade, com data de entrega para dezembro de 2024. A empresa se dedicará à construção de um novo mercado, à revitalização das vias locais, à restauração de calçadas e passeios, à modernização do mobiliário urbano com tecnologia de ponta e à disponibilização de vagas de estacionamento. Essas intervenções se destinam a promover a revitalização e a revalorização da área, transformando-a em um autêntico ponto de atração.

“Essa iniciativa é uma demonstração clara de compromisso com os cidadãos e com todos aqueles que visitam nossa cidade. O projeto dará origem a 186 novos espaços comerciais, englobando lojas e boxes de mercado, além de uma espaçosa e agradável praça de alimentação. A construção será pautada por soluções sustentáveis, trazendo mudanças para a mobilidade urbana e a própria imagem da cidade. Minha visão para Cuiabá sempre foi nítida: nossa cidade não está destinada a ser coadjuvante, mas sim uma líder. Não devemos nos contentar com menos do que o melhor. A sustentabilidade da nova estrutura será realizada por meio do reuso das águas pluviais. Haverá um condomínio substancial dentro do novo espaço. Diferente de outras iniciativas já entregues pela gestão, o condomínio será responsável pela manutenção completa do Mercado Municipal Miguel Sutil.

Durante o ato de assinatura da ordem de serviço, o gestor ainda relembrou o processo complexo para a implantação da PPP. “Os parceiros que venceram a PPP ficaram impressionados com nossa abordagem, já que nenhuma outra cidade do país, seja capital ou não, ousou abordar seu centro histórico com tamanho comprometimento. Nosso objetivo é resgatar esse orgulho para nossa cultura cuiabana”.

A requalificação terá como foco o Mercado Municipal Miguel Sutil, que foi planejado como um espaço voltado principalmente para atividades de lazer, ao mesmo tempo em que abrigará escritórios de advocacia e clínicas médicas, enriquecendo a área e oferecendo um ambiente mais diversificado. Serão 186 espaços comerciais, além da oferta de 500 vagas de estacionamento.

Também será realizada a implantação de abrigos de ônibus com sistema de mobilidade inteligente, totens eletrônicos, estação de aparelhos de ginástica, bancos com repetidor Wi-Fi, entre outros equipamentos urbanos que vão transformar a mobilidade da cidade e promover mais informações e segurança aos usuários do transporte público e frequentadores. O centro de Cuiabá será totalmente modernizado, com a integração do sistema online de mobilidade urbana inteligente, que será implantado em toda a infraestrutura, como em abrigos de ônibus e painéis com a exibição de informações em tempo real veiculadas no transporte público.
