A capital é sede do Ciclo de Seminários do Programa Escola em Tempo Integral: princípios para a Política de Educação Integral em Tempo Integral, etapa da região Centro-Oeste, promovido pelo Governo Federal. O evento começou nesta quinta-feira (03), no Hotel Fazenda Mato Grosso. Representando o prefeito de Cuiabá, Emanuel Pinheiro, a secretária municipal de Educação, Edilene Machado, falou sobre a importância de o município receber esse primeiro ciclo de debates, que estão sendo discutidos nas bases. Ela lembrou que a capital foi referência em 2008, quando implantou atividades pedagógicas, culturais e esportivas no contraturno escolar, no Programa Mais Educação, construído na perspectiva da Educação Integral.  

“É um momento único, onde está sendo debatida a construção desse modelo educacional nas bases, ou seja, nos municípios, por região. Sabemos o quão grande é o nosso país e sabemos das dificuldades para fazer, escrever e construir políticas públicas voltadas para a Educação. Por isso a importância dessa aproximação para a reconstrução de uma agenda em Educação Integral. Cuiabá, através da administração do prefeito Emanuel Pinheiro, tem investido na área educacional a fim de atender as pessoas em situação de vulnerabilidade social”, disse a secretária.  

“Cuiabá tem um diferencial”, apontou a secretária durante a fala na abertura do evento.  Segundo ela, a capital mato-grossense saiu na frente com a implantação de dez unidades que já atuam nesse modelo, bem como a Educação Infantil, com atendimento integral para crianças da 1ª Infância, na faixa etária de 0 a 3 anos e 11 meses, em unidades de Creches, Centros Educacionais Infantis Cuiabanos (CEIC), nos Centros Municipais de Educação Infantil (CMEI), Centros Emergenciais de Educação Infantil (CEEI) e Escolas Municipais de Educação Básica (EMEB) que atendem o Jardins Integral.

“A educação em tempo integral desempenha um papel fundamental no processo de formação e desenvolvimento integral dos estudantes. Essa abordagem educacional proporciona aos alunos um ambiente enriquecido e um maior tempo de aprendizagem. Vem ao encontro das premissas da gestão, em oferecer cada vez mais um ensino de qualidade a toda população”, acrescentou.

O programa visa ampliar o número de matrículas de tempo integral nas escolas de educação básica de todo o Brasil, ainda em 2023 e 2024. A lei que cria o programa foi sancionada pelo presidente Luís Inácio Lula da Silva, no dia 31 de julho, onde serão investidos R$4 bilhões para estados e municípios aderirem.

O Ciclo de Seminários conta com a participação de representantes do Ministério da Educação, especialistas em educação, gestores escolares, professores e demais profissionais da área. Serão realizados palestras, mesas-redondas, debates e apresentações de boas práticas desenvolvidas em escolas de tempo integral em todo o país até sexta-feira (4).
Programação

Durante o evento, que acontece de forma regionalizada, nas modalidades presencial e híbrida,  com transmissão ao vivo nos canais oficiais do Ministério da Educação, a coordenadora de Programas e Projetos da Coordenadoria Técnica de Ensino, da Secretaria Municipal de Educação, Marcela Rezende Guimarães Martins participará do painel Princípios da Educação Integral em Tempo Integral no Ensino Fundamental – Orientações para o tempo integral nos anos iniciais e finais, que acontecerá no dia 4, das 9h às 12h.

Marcela vai falar sobre a experiência da rede pública municipal de educação na Escola Municipal de Educação Básica (EMEB) Prof.ª Francisca Figueiredo Martins, a primeira unidade da rede a implantar o modelo de tempo integral, em 2018, e nas outras dez unidades que hoje funcionam dessa forma.

Com uma base diversificada, integrada ao currículo formal, a EMEB Profª Francisca Figueiredo Martins atende 438 estudantes, que permanecem na unidade durante 10h diárias. As demais unidades atendem 2.000 estudantes por semana, com rodízio nas atividades culturais, lúdicas e esportivas no contraturno escolar, com direito à alimentação, auxílio de monitores e material pedagógico, financiado por recursos próprios do Município.
